“Life Gets Complicated When You Love One Woman And Worship Eleven Men”

In a London school staff room, Paul Ashworth (Colin Firth) teaches English and spends his weekends at Arsenal, and he has built a tidy life around both. Then Sarah Hughes (Ruth Gemmell) joins the staff, and David Evans, adapting Nick Hornby's memoir, sets their courtship beside the club's season, match by match. Love and football both ask a man to hand his hopes over to a woman or a team he cannot control.
