Fig Leaves

(1926)Directed by Howard Hawks70 minComedy
“A riot of Beauty and Luxury on the Screen!”

Adam Smith (George O'Brien) is a plumber who loves his wife Eve (Olive Borden), and Eve loves clothes more than almost anything else in the apartment. When a snobbish fashion designer crosses her path, and a neighbor with her own eye on Adam pushes her along, Eve starts modeling by day and keeps it from her husband. Howard Hawks, in his silent comedy, sets a marriage against a world that sells women the idea that they must dress to be wanted.
