Fighting Elegy

Kiroku Nanbu (Hideki Takahashi) moves into a Roman Catholic household as a boarder and falls hard for the daughter, Michiko (Junko Asano). He answers his feelings by joining a gang and picking fights. Seijun Suzuki cuts Kiroku's brawls and fumbling crushes into the same loose, jumpy comedy, and the rhythm never settles for long.
