“The Bird Has Come For Its Prey.”

Two men have escaped from prison in an unnamed Latin American country, and a black helicopter follows them wherever they go. MacConnachie (Robert Shaw) and Ansell (Malcolm McDowell) keep moving through the open country with nowhere to hide from it, and Joseph Losey rarely lets the sound of the rotors leave the soundtrack. The two are not friends, only chained to the same flight, and the longer it lasts the more each one has to rely on the other.
