Filth

“It's a filthy job getting to the top, but someone's got to do it.”

Bruce (James McAvoy), a detective sergeant in Edinburgh, sets about rigging the race for a promotion, working on his rivals' nerves with pranks and lies. Jon S. Baird adapts Irvine Welsh's novel, following Bruce through a murder investigation he barely attends to, with Lennox (Jamie Bell) and Bladesey (Eddie Marsan) in his way. Bruce drinks and snorts his way through the weeks, and the hallucinations start to crowd in on him.
