Final Analysis

“Someone was seduced. Someone was set up. and before it was all over... someone was dead.”

In San Francisco, psychiatrist Isaac Barr (Richard Gere) treats Diana Baylor (Uma Thurman), a patient who has trouble sleeping and talking about her family. Her sister Heather Evans (Kim Basinger) comes to see him, and he finds himself drawn to her, though her husband Jimmy (Eric Roberts) has gangster ties and a hold on her. Phil Joanou frames the two of them in cool, polished rooms, and the film ends with Isaac alone in his office.
