Finding Altamira

“Some secrets are too powerful to hide.”

Marcelino (Antonio Banderas) is an amateur archaeologist in 1879 Spain who takes his nine-year-old daughter Maria along when he explores the Altamira cave. There she looks up and sees the painted animals on the ceiling, the first prehistoric cave art ever found. Hugh Hudson follows the two of them, a father who wants to be believed and a child who simply saw it first, with Marcelino's wife Conchita (Golshifteh Farahani) watching from home.
