Finding Forrester

“In an ordinary place, he found the one person to make his life extraordinary.”

On a dare from his friends, Jamal Wallace (Rob Brown), a Bronx teenager as sharp with a pen as he is on the basketball court, slips through the window of a reclusive tenant's apartment. The man inside is William Forrester (Sean Connery), a writer who has kept the world out for years. Gus Van Sant follows Jamal toward a private school scholarship, with notebooks passed back and forth between Jamal and Forrester in that closed apartment.
