A clownfish named Marlin (Albert Brooks) loses his son Nemo to a diver off the Australian coast and sets out across the ocean to find him. He teams up with Dory (Ellen DeGeneres), a blue tang with no memory of anything past a few minutes ago, and the two swim deeper into unfamiliar water. The film ends with Marlin watching Nemo dart through the coral, finally unafraid.
