Finding ʻOhana

“Home is where ʻohana is.”

A weathered journal turns up in a rural Oahu town, and its pages point toward treasure that has been lost for generations. Pili (Kea Peahu) and her brother Ioane (Alex Aiono), two Brooklyn kids stuck there for the summer, set out to find it, with the local kids tagging along. Jude Weng, in her first feature as director, keeps the pace brisk and the island bright.
