Firecreek

“JAMES STEWART -- HENRY FONDA MEET IN THE HEAT OF FIRECREEK”

Why would a band of outlaws ride into a town as small as Firecreek and simply stay? Johnny Cobb (James Stewart) is a farmer who wears a sheriff's badge part-time, and Bob Larkin (Henry Fonda) leads the men who have settled in around him while the townspeople keep their doors shut. Vincent McEveety leaves Cobb alone in the dusty street, the dry heat on his shoulders and the badge on his coat.
