First Blood

“This time he's fighting for his life.”

In the small town of Hope, a drifter named John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) walks in carrying nothing but a few years of Vietnam behind him. Sheriff Will Teasle (Brian Dennehy) wants him gone, and the arrest for vagrancy sends Rambo running into the mountains with the local police on his trail. Ted Kotcheff shows a man the country trained to survive and then left with nowhere to put it.
