First Desires

“Beautiful innocence cast-away in paradise.”

On an island reached by boat, three teenage girls, Caroline (Monica Broeke), Hélène (Emmanuelle Béart) and Dorothée (Anja Schüte), set out to find love. A shipwreck leaves them on opposite sides of it, and each meets someone there: a man, a boy, even another girl. David Hamilton, the photographer making his last film, frames the island the way he framed his stills.
