First Knight

(1995)Directed by Jerry Zucker134 min · PG-13Action, Adventure, Drama, Romance
“Their greatest battle would be for her love.”

Lancelot (Richard Gere) is a wandering swordsman who wants nothing from any crown, only the next fight and the next road. Then he meets Guinevere (Julia Ormond), who is promised to King Arthur (Sean Connery) and soon to be queen of Camelot. Jerry Zucker follows a man who has never stayed anywhere, now pulled toward a woman, a king, and a loyalty he never planned to owe.
