First Man

“One giant leap into the unknown.”

Neil Armstrong (Ryan Gosling) is a test pilot chasing transcendence through aircraft that barely hold together, losing people along the way. His wife Janet (Claire Foy) watches from the ground as he volunteers for the space program, each mission a calculation of risk she has to live with. The distance between them grows as he reaches toward the Moon, and what Janet waits for is a husband who might finally come home.
