In the opening days of the war on the Eastern Front, a Schutzstaffel officer, Baron Von Wolff (Sergei Aisman), is trying to wake a dead army of crusaders from the 12th-century Order of the Sacred Cross. Against him stand Soviet teenagers with extraordinary abilities, drafted into a special unit. Alesha Klimov and Vladimir Zhelezniakov set the war and the old legend side by side, so that history and superstition fight over the same ground.
