Fisherman's Friends

“Some Bands Can't Be Managed”

Danny (Daniel Mays), a London music executive, is on a stag weekend in a Cornish harbour town when he gets it into his head to sign the fishermen who sing sea shanties on the quay. Chris Foggin gives the ten of them the rough voices and weathered faces of men who sing because they always have. The one who holds out longest is Jim (James Purefoy), and Danny has to win him over before any deal is possible.
