Five Came Back
“Four must die! One must choose!”
Bill Brooks (Chester Morris) is the pilot of the Silver Queen, a Coast Airline passenger plane carrying twelve people to South America when a storm blows it off course into the jungle. The survivors include Peggy Nolan (Lucille Ball) and Alice Melbourne (Wendy Barrie), and Bill has to get the engines running before head hunters find them. John Farrow keeps the camera tight on the wreck and the clearing, so the twelve have nowhere to stand but close together.
