“To face the future, they must face the past.”

A television crew has arranged for two men to meet twenty-five years after one of them killed the other's brother. Alistair Little (Liam Neeson), a former Ulster Volunteer Force member, has spent those years living with what he did, while Joe Griffin (James Nesbitt) has spent them waiting for this day. Oliver Hirschbiegel shows how a single act in 1975 goes on shaping the lives of everyone who survived it.
