The Shaolin temple is burning, and the Qing soldiers who set it alight leave a handful of survivors behind. Hu Te-Ti (David Chiang Da-Wei) and four fellow fighters agree on secret codes to find other patriots and gather them, while hunting the traitor who sold the temple out. Chang Cheh runs the five through one fight after another, with Lau Kar Leung and Lau Kar Wing choreographing every blow.
