Five Times Two

Gilles (Stéphane Freiss) and Marion (Valeria Bruni Tedeschi) sit in a lawyer's office and sign the papers that end their marriage, and nothing in the room explains how two people got there. François Ozon answers by going backward through five moments, from a tense dinner party and a birth to a wedding and a first meeting on an Italian beach. By the last one, you are watching a husband and wife who have no idea what they will become.
