Flame & Citron

“Heroes will rise, Enemies will fall”

The names on the lists come from Aksel Winther (Peter Mygind), and the two men who carry them out are known only by their nicknames. Flammen (Thure Lindhardt) and Citronen (Mads Mikkelsen) shoot Nazi collaborators in occupied Denmark, hoping to be sent after the Germans next. When doubts about who is giving the orders creep in, the war gets harder to read. Ole Christian Madsen spent eight years in the historical archives with his co-writer before shooting it.
