Flavia the Heretic

“She launched a river of blood”

Flavia Gaetani (Florinda Bolkan) is a young woman in a convent in Puglia around 1400, and she wants out of the life the walls were built to hold her in. Gianfranco Mingozzi watches the Tarantula cult overrun the convent, its fanatical members committing obscene and bloody acts in the place Flavia hoped to leave. The faith kept inside those walls and the violence done in its name become impossible to tell apart.
