Flesh and Bone

“Evil is patient.”

Arlis Sweeney (Dennis Quaid) keeps to himself and puts his energy into his work, trying to outrun the memory of his father murdering a family. Then he meets Kay Davies (Meg Ryan), a woman tied to that bloody night, and the two fall in love anyway. Steve Kloves brings Arlis's father, Roy (James Caan), back into his life with the coldhearted Ginnie (Gwyneth Paltrow), and Arlis has to face what he has avoided.
