“Passion ran like wine in their blood!”

In a German town, Leo von Harden (John Gilbert) comes home from military training with his lifelong friend Ulrich von Eltz (Lars Hanson). Clarence Brown tells of two men who have shared everything, and of what happens to that kind of loyalty once a woman stands between them.
