Flight of the Phoenix

“Out of the ashes, hope will rise.”

A rig in the Gobi Desert has stopped producing, and a cargo plane is sent to fly its oil workers out. Captain Frank Towns (Dennis Quaid) and co-pilot A.J. (Tyrese Gibson) are over the desert on the way to Beijing when a sandstorm hits the C-119. John Moore leaves the survivors with a rebuilt aircraft's worth of work, supplies running low, and a flat, pale desert that gives them nothing to hide behind.
