“The wonderful story of a boy and his amazing underwater friend!”

Sandy Ricks (Luke Halpin) is a 12-year-old boy in the Florida Keys who finds a wild dolphin hurt by a spear and pulls it out himself. His father, the fisherman Porter Ricks (Chuck Connors), wants the animal let go, and Sandy does not. James B. Clark builds the film around a plain idea: a creature you have helped will help you back, and that trust can soften even a wary parent.
