Flirting with Disaster

“A comedy about sex, love, family and other accidents waiting to happen.”

Mel Coplin (Ben Stiller) is a new father who refuses to name his baby son until he finds the birth parents who gave him up. His wife Nancy (Patricia Arquette) and Tina (Téa Leoni), the adoption agent assigned to his case, ride along on a cross-country search that David O. Russell fills with mistaken identities, wrong turns and lovesick ATF agents. Underneath the farce is a plain question of whether you can give a child a name before you know your own.
