Waverly Liu (Andrea Bang) arrives in the coastal town of Holden to spend the summer before university, escaping tension at home by staying with her aunt. She meets Blake Hamilton (Robbie Amell), a lifeguard who offers to teach her to swim, and the two begin a tentative romance as the season unfolds. What matters most in these few weeks of freedom and connection may not wait for her to return.
