Flodder Does Manhattan!

The mayor of Sunny Dale finds a way to be rid of the Flodder family: ship the whole asocial bunch to New York on an international exchange. Dick Maas lands Ma Flodder (Nelly Frijda) and her son Johnny (Huub Stapel) in Manhattan, where they are mistaken for a Russian delegation of medical doctors while their street worker, Werner, ends up in jail. The family never changes its habits for the new city, and the film treats that stubbornness as a kind of loyalty.
