Florence Foster Jenkins

Florence Foster Jenkins (Meryl Streep), a New York heiress, decides to sing opera in public, though her voice is terrible. Her companion and manager St. Clair Bayfield (Hugh Grant) hires a young pianist, Cosmé McMoon (Simon Helberg), and arranges her audiences with great care. Stephen Frears keeps Florence at the center of it, a woman in a costume and a feathered headdress, hands clasped, eyes bright, certain that she is singing beautifully.
