Flying Down to Rio

Roger Bond (Gene Raymond) leads a dance band, and all he wants is to get close to Belinha (Dolores del Río), a Brazilian beauty who is already engaged to his employer. His bandmates, among them Honey Hale (Ginger Rogers) and Fred Ayres (Fred Astaire), pitch in while picking up a local dance called the Carioca. Thornton Freeland stages the numbers as big, bright crowd spectacles, and he gave Astaire and Rogers their first scenes together.
