“A now story with now music!”

Jeff Dugan (Michael Brandon) runs the music at QSKY, a Los Angeles FM station, and wants the playlist left alone, the DJs free to play what they like. Then the owners sell army recruitment ads onto the air, and Mother (Eileen Brennan), the station's manager, finds herself caught between the people upstairs and the people behind the microphones. John A. Alonzo fills the booths with unruly voices, and Jeff has to decide how much to give up to keep his job.
