Follow Me Quietly

“Police baffled by the FACELESS KILLER!”

Lieutenant Harry Grant (William Lundigan) has spent months chasing a strangler the papers call "The Judge," who picks his victims on rainy nights and leaves clues that lead the police nowhere. Richard Fleischer follows Grant as he builds a life-size dummy of the killer, while the reporter Ann Gorman (Dorothy Patrick) trails him for the story. The longer the killer stays unnamed, the more Grant's job turns into an obsession he cannot put down.
