Fool for Love

Eddie (Sam Shepard) pulls up to a derelict motel in the Mojave Desert and finds May (Kim Basinger), the woman he has spent years chasing, waiting there for another man. He wants to take her back to the life she left, and she is trying hard to stay put. Altman keeps nearly everything inside the one room, Shepard adapting his own stage play, where two people who cannot stop wanting each other are trapped by it.
