Footsteps in the Fog

(1955)Directed by Arthur Lubin90 minThriller, Drama, Crime
“CLOSE ENOUGH TO KISS...OR KILL!”

Lily Watkins (Jean Simmons), a parlour maid in Victorian London, begins to suspect that her employer, Stephen Lowry (Stewart Granger), killed his first wife. She takes a place in his house to watch him closely, and he keeps a polished manner while she keeps her own counsel. Arthur Lubin shoots the story in Technicolor, so the fog and the dread arrive in rich color rather than black and white.
