Lauren (Lauren Miller Rogen) and Katie (Ari Graynor), two college enemies, end up sharing Katie's late grandmother's New York apartment after Lauren loses a boyfriend and Katie loses rent control. The bickering stops the night Lauren barges into Katie's bedroom and finds out what Katie does for money. Jamie Travis builds a business from that discovery, and the film is about a friendship that outlasts the worst thing one of them ever did to the other.
