For Ellen

Joby Taylor (Paul Dano) is a struggling musician with a goatee, a lot of tattoos and slicked hair, and he has driven all night to a meeting with lawyers and his ex-wife. He hasn't been around to be a father to his daughter Ellen (Shaylena Mandigo), and this is his last chance to fight for shared custody. So Yong Kim, in her first English-language film, ends on Joby after the meeting, still in the clothes he drove in.
