In 1926, a young millionaire known only as the Uptown Boy (Harold Lloyd) spends his days with no thought for anyone. Then he meets the Downtown Girl (Jobyna Ralston), daughter of a minister who runs a mission in the poor part of town. Sam Taylor's silent comedy follows a rich boy who starts turning up where she is, trying to be worth her notice.
