For My Country

A young officer of Algerian origin dies during a fresher initiation ritual at Saint-Cyr, the French military academy, and the Army will not say who is responsible. Aïssa Saïdi (Shaïn Boumedine) is gone, and his older brother Ismaël (Karim Leklou), the rebellious one, tries to hold the family together as they fight over his funeral. Rachid Hami builds the film around one question: what a country owes to a son who died serving it.
