Brad Sexton (Tim Allen) and his wife Caroline (Kirstie Alley) are wealthy New Yorkers who have stopped liking each other, and a divorce is in the works. Then they learn their accountant has embezzled millions and left them holding the blame, so they run, and the IRS follows. Bryan Spicer sends them to an Amish community in Pennsylvania, where they pose as members of the group and trade the penthouse for plain clothes and a barn.
