“The truth is in you”

In the early 18th century, the cartographer Jonathan Green (Jason Flemyng) leaves Europe on a scientific voyage east, crosses the Carpathians, and loses his way in fog. It deposits him in a village hidden by impassable woods, ringed by a deep moat its people dug to keep the rest of the world out. Oleg Stepchenko fills the place with folk belief, and Green's last view is the moat and the fog behind it.
