Foreign Land

“The best place to lose someone or your own self”

Paco (Fernando Alves Pinto) is a young man in São Paulo during a time of political upheaval in Brazil, and he ends up in a foreign land. There he meets Alex (Fernanda Torres), a stranger he runs into by coincidence, and the two get caught in the middle of a gem smuggling ring. Walter Salles and Daniela Thomas leave Paco with a country that no longer feels like his, and with no one but Alex to trust.
