“For one teacher and nine children, the lesson of the day is kill or be killed.”

Four masked men take a teacher, Sally Jones (Rachel Ward), and the children in her one-room country school. They drive them off to be held, and the students, among them Sid (Sean Garlick), start working out how to turn on their captors. Arch Nicholson, working from Everett De Roche's script, keeps the camera close and the exits few, so the tension stays tight throughout.
