Foul Play

Gloria Mundy (Goldie Hawn) is a recently divorced San Francisco librarian who wants a quieter, safer life than the one she has. Then a stranger hides a roll of film in a pack of cigarettes and presses it on her for safekeeping. Colin Higgins sends her and a bumbling cop, Tony Carlson (Chevy Chase), after a plot tied to the Catholic Church, and the people who want that film will not stop at asking.
