Four Daughters
In 1938, Adam Lemp (Claude Rains) keeps a house full of music, where his four grown daughters all play and sing and each has a decent young man waiting on her. Michael Curtiz follows the household until Mickey Borden (John Garfield), a slovenly, sour composer, walks in and unsettles all of them. Ann (Priscilla Lane) is the one who cannot stop watching him.
