Frankenstein

(1931)Directed by James Whale70 minDrama, Horror, Science Fiction
“The man who made a monster.”

Henry Frankenstein (Colin Clive) wants to make a living man from the parts of dead ones, and he has shut himself away with his assistant Fritz to do it. His fiancée Elizabeth (Mae Clarke) and his friend Victor Moritz (John Boles) come looking, while his old teacher Doctor Waldman (Edward Van Sloan) is pulled into the work. James Whale stages the creation of Boris Karloff's Monster as a short, loud spectacle and gives it all the weight of a sin.
