Adam (Xavier Samuel) wants only to understand the world he has been born into, a grown man with a blank mind, made in a lab by the scientists Victor (Danny Huston) and Elizabeth Frankenstein (Carrie-Anne Moss). Bernard Rose tells it from the creature's side, so every cruelty arrives without explanation. Abandoned and left for dead, Adam meets only aggression and violence, and his body is failing as he searches for some place where he is safe.
