Frankie and Johnny

“You never choose love. Love chooses you.”

Johnny (Al Pacino) walks out of prison after a forgery charge and takes a short-order cook job at a New York diner. Within days he is flirting with the waitresses, and he settles on Frankie (Michelle Pfeiffer), who wants nothing to do with him. Garry Marshall puts them in the diner after hours, Johnny at the grill, Frankie wiping down the counter beside him.
