“Ever have one of those years?”

Why would a Stanford law-school dropout be sitting in an ice cream truck in Los Angeles? Jillian (Jess Weixler) has come to the city to disappear and work out what she wants, and she is stuck there on the day of her college boyfriend's birthday. Jay Gammill keeps her in the truck while locals and oddball friends, among them Tex (Jesse Eisenberg), turn up at the window. Jillian has until the end of this one day to stop drifting, and the day will not wait for her.
